Homemade Holidays Day #5 with Holly // Gift Card Holder Boxes for Teachers
Happy Sunday everyone...it’s Holly here today and I hope you are enjoying our Homemade Holidays series. I have a fun set of treat boxes that double as gift card holders.
Nicole sent all of us Design Team members a box filled with lots of goodies to create packaging with. I decided to use the gingham paper bags and the doilies. I started by cutting the paper bag up so I could use it as wrapping. Then I wrapped a box that was filled with chocolate covered pretzels with the bag and some double sided tape.
Once I had the box covered I added one of the doilies from our box of goodies and offset it a little so it showed more on one side. Then I used the Folded Gift Tag Die Set and die cut a pocket tag from some kraft cardstock. I created the tag and then I stamped the pine branches from the Christmas Foliage set in some Noble Fir ink. I decided to go with the purple shade that was in the gingham paper bag. I stamped the poinsettias from the same set and heat embossed them with gold embossing powder on some watercolor paper. Then I colored them in using the Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Once they were dry I cut them out.
I stamped the sentiment from the Christmas Foliage set onto the pocket and heat-embossed it with a glittery gold embossing powder and then I added the poinsettias with some foam tape. For an extra pop of gold I added a few mixed gold sequins. Then I die cut a tag from some raspberry card stock using thetag die in the Folded Gift Tag Die Set and I adhered some gold glittered washi tape along one edge. I adhered a gift card to the tag with some mini glue dots and then I added a strand of gold sequins along the top edge. For the larger pocket tag I threaded some thick twine through t and then adhered it to the doily. The recipient can pull the center tag with the gift card and also hang it on the tree.
I made three of these and then I created a second version using the same technique but I just created two tags and no gift card holder. This is another fun way to create a tag if you don’t want to have a gift card to attach.
You can find all these stamp sets in the Right at Home ShopThanks for stopping by today…
Have a very Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
