Happy Holidays Festive Petals Die Set Tag // 25 Days of Christmas Tags
Who’s excited for the upcoming gift-wrapping season?! I am!
Sometimes I think that choosing your color palette and wrapping papers and bows (and tinsel and, of course, tags!) is more fun than shopping for the present inside! But that may be just me…
Anyways, today I’m thrilled to be sharing a cute, DIY, quick & simple tag I created as part of Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags InstaHop! This hop is happening on Instagram only, but I still thought I’d share my tag here.
Let’s get started…
As you may know, I just had a November release go live and since then I’ve been dying to make something with the new Festive Petals Die Set! It’s a stand-alone die set with delicate details and a multitude of possibilities! I knew it would make the perfect focal point for my tag design.
To start off, I inked up several panels of Starthmore Bristol Smooth cardstock with a variety of Ranger Distress Oxide ink colors. I used Candied Apple, Tattered Rose (for an unexpected softness!), Fossilized Amber, and Peeled Paint. Once my panels were finished, I ran them through my die-cutting machine along with a tag die and some white cardstock.
Along the bottom of the tag I stamped “Happy Holidays” from my Fa La La set. It nestled into the bottom space perfectly, but you could even leave it off and center the flower for a different look. I adhered the flower together using some liquid glue and popped it onto the tag! I even added a hole reinforcer that I cut from kraft cardstock.
In the photos above you can see I tied it onto a little treat bag that I created with my Folded Gift Bag Die Set and the Woodgrain Background Stamp from my September release. Tuck a sweet treat inside and you have a quick and simple gift for your coworker, mail carrier, or favorite barista!

Make sure to head over to my Instagram post to start the hop. There are 12 stops, which means you’ll have 12 different tag ideas to put in your gift-wrapping arsenal for next month! There’s also dozens of prizes up for grabs for those who like, comment, and follow at each stop.
Head on over to get into the holiday spirit!
