Thank You Snow Much Folded Gift Tag // 12 Tags of Christmas 2018 with Ellen Hutson LLC
Good morning, friend!
I hope you’ve having a merry December so far. Here in MA we’ve already received some snow flurries which, oddly enough, warms my heart! Who doesn’t love snow?!
I guess you could say my love for winter inspired my gift tag created for the 12 Tags of Christmas hosted by Ellen Hutson LLC. It includes crisp, blue hues and a touch of sparkle which is also today’s theme! If you want to see what I’m rambling about, just keep reading!
Let’s get started…
For the first 12 days of December, members of the Ellen Hutson design team are creating holiday tags inspired by a certain theme. Each designer is also teaming up with a brand and today is Right at Home’s special day!
Therese Calvird and I are each sharing tags inspired by the day’s theme, sparkle, and both featuring Right at Home products!
How fun, amiright?!
There’s also dozens of gift certificates to the Ellen Hutson shop up for grabs so head over once you’re done here for more information!
I’ll admit, when I was given my theme I was a bit stumped! I’m not much of a sparkle person, but I decided to make it work in the best way I could. To start, I knew I wanted to create a snowy background and my Snow Flurries Background Stamp was just what I needed. I white heat-embossed it onto a tag and used Ranger Distress Oxide inks in Tumbled Glass, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon to add color. The snowflakes resist the ink and remain pure white.
Next, I moved onto coloring in one of the adorable little girl images from my Winter Pals stamp set. I used the one playing in the snow and colored her in using hues similar to my background. To give her a place to stand, I cut a piece of white cardstock using a stitched, scallop border and added a touch of Tumbled Glass for more color. I adhered the strip to the bottom of the tag and popped her over top.
To embellish, I added a few sequins and squeezed a little Tonic Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard into the center of them. This is where the sparkle comes it! I added a sentiment also from the Winter Pals set and threaded a piece of silver tinsel through the tag. This tag has a pocket for a gift card, so I popped one in that matched the colors of the tag as a finishing touch!
Watch me put this snow-tastic tag together in my process video below…

And there’ll be lots more tag inspiration coming over these through the next few days so make sure to keep checking back.
Sending snow flurries your way!
