Hoppy Easter Watercolor Card by Laurie C.
Hello everyone!! Laurie Case here with a guest designer blog post!! Let me first of all say "thank you" to the super sweet Nicole for having me!! I am so excited to be here, you have no idea! I am what you would call a "super fan" of Right at Home stamps and dies. The designs are so unique, I'm just drawn to them. Now let's have a look at what I created, shall we?
I used the Hoppy Easter stamp set to make an Easter card. The bunnies in this set are adorable! I stamped all the images I wanted to use onto watercolour cardstock and used Distress Inks to colour them. I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto another piece of watercolour cardstock then cut it out using the smallest stitched rectangle from the Find the Beauty Die Set.
I thought the sky needed a couple of clouds so I stamped, watercolored and fussy cut the clouds from the Banner Alphabet Add-On set. After stamping my sentiment, I adhered all my fussy cut pieces using a combination of liquid and foam adhesive. I added a scalloped strip of patterned paper along the bottom edge of the card to "finish off" the panel. I popped the panel up with foam tape onto an A2 kraft cardbase.
Then came all the little details. I added a few dots and stripes to the easter eggs, some Clear Wink of Stella to the clouds, the butterfly and the bunnies ears. And of course, Glossy Accents to all the eggs and a few other little spots!!
Thank you for stopping by today!! I hope you enjoyed this sweet little card as much as I do!!
