Coffee Lovers Blog Hop // Spring 2016
Hi Coffee Lovers!
It's time for the Spring edition of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I'm so excited that Amy asked me again to take part again as I love all things coffee-themed. Plus, it gave me an excuse to play with an awesome die from Memory Box. It's a win-win!
I started my card off by using this Memory Box die to cut out the pieces for my coffee cup. I used various colors of cardstock to this. For the yellow piece, I wanted to add some texture so I stamped it with my Grid Background stamp from my shop and I think it adds the perfect touch. I adhered all these pieces together and added a little red heart with some foam tape to tie it together.
For my center panel, I die-cut a piece of light gray cardstock with a stitched border. Along the bottom I adhered a piece of rainbow patterned paper with a curved edge to give my cup a place to "sit". I then adhered the finished cup with some foam tape. I wanted to add a little more detail to the cup so I used the little swirl from my Hoppy Easter stamp set (originally meant to be used as a trail from a butterfly!) to create some steam above the cup.
Next to my cup I stamped "today is a new day" which is from my Get Stuff Done stamp set. I love the sentiments in this set even though it was designed for planners. I think it works perfectly for this card. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins to finish it off! So cute and colorful!
I hope you love what I created! To celebrate today's hop I'm giving away a $20 gift certificate to my shop to one crafter who links up her creation to the Coffee Lovers Link-Up. If you want a chance to win, create a project inspired by spring, coffee, tea, or cocoa and link it up here. Winners will be announced soon.
Happy crafting!
