DIY Unicorn Card using Abstract Florals by Carly Tee
Hi! It’s Carly Tee here and I’m so excited to be guest designing for the Right at Home blog! Today I wanted to share something that came from my Pinterest very normal usage (read obsession / habit), LOL!
My Pinterest feed is full of sweet and inspiring images of unicorn treats like macaroons and cakes. My cake decorating skills are remedial at best and they are certainly very rusty, so I decided to channel my unicorn dreams into paper!
There are a few key elements to the unicorn - a floral crown, a sweet pink nose and a horn of course! No surprise that I turned to the Abstract Florals set to create the floral crown but also found my unicorn’s eyes, nostrils and stripes for the horn.
I used some basic circle dies to create my unicorn’s nose, running it through twice to get the curve on both sides. I inked it in a soft pink and used the little daisy center stamp to create nostrils. I used the stem to stamp & emboss in gold glitter, stripes on a basic triangle die cut to make the horn. And another flower center stamped in black made perfect eyes, with a little white pen on top.
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a magical day!
Hugs,
Carly Tee
