Hug Enclosed Card by Melissa
Happy Thursday to you, crafty friends! Melissa Bickford here with you and I’m super excited to be sharing a little something with you today. Since it is the season of love, I have created a card full of hearts and bright, cheery colors…two of my absolute favorite things.
To begin, I started with a white card-base and inked up the adorable heart from the Cup of Joy stamp set. I wanted to create a double border along the middle and thought I’d do a little masking to create it. After stamping the heart onto a post-it note and trimming it out, I began to create my borders and used that post-it note heart as my guide. Next, I colored them in using Copic markers RV13, R24, Y35 and YR16.
Now for my sentiment, from the absolute sweetest little mini stamp set, Happy Mail Year 2. I just received this not too long ago and it didn’t take me long to fall in love with it. It makes stamping your envelopes so much fun, but it also works perfectly on the cards themselves. That’s what I did for today. I used the "HUG ENCLOSED" for the sentiment on my card. After stamping it in black ink, I trimmed it out and attached it with dimensional foam. Lastly, I added a strip of striped patterned paper, along the bottom and top, and a few sequins to complete it.
I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for popping in to visit today!
