Right at Home Stamps April Release Blog Hop
Happy April!
Today my design team and I are celebrating another Right at Home Stamps release with a blog hop! We have a few new members on our team, Amy Tsuruta and Amy Kolling, so you will be seeing some additional friendly faces along the hop this time around. I'm so happy to have these talented ladies and can't wait to see what they've created with this month's release. Let's get started, shall we?
For my card I knew I wanted to focus on the Birdhouse set. It's a set that is near and dear to my heart because I hand-drew all the little elements that are included. I spent quite a bit of time perfecting these images and was thrilled to see them come to life. I stamped a bunch of the images in black Momento ink on to some white cardstock. I then used some of my Copic markers to color them in in fun spring colors. I definitely need to expand my Copic collection ad it was quite a task to find the perfect colors. Then I trimmed out all the images and set them aside.
I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but I used a white stitched rectangle panel and sponged on some light blue ink to create a sky background for my birdhouse. Next, I added foam tape to the back of my images, and arranged them in a little cluster to create my scene. I just love how all the leaves and branches layer together to create such texture and dimension.
Underneath my cluster I stamped my sentiment using a crisp black ink. With this sentiment, I can now give this card to friend moving into a new home. I just love how it turned out!
