My First Vendor Show // Heirloom Productions Stamp Show 2016
Good morning, friends!
If you're one of my email subscribers you may know I packed up my little studio this past weekend and hit the road for my first ever vendor show. For years Heirloom Productions has set up a show specifically for stamping and paper arts in Springfield, MA. I've attended in years past and it's definitely an experience. Aisles of rubber stamps and crafty goodness meet your eyes as soon as you walk in. This year, I was lucky enough to attend to spread the word about my stamp line!
Friday, June 3rd // Set-Up Day
Today my mom, Lisa, and I finished packing up all our inventory and jumped into the car to head up to the show. When we arrived, we were greeted by hosts and other vendors excited for the upcoming weekend's festivities. We were also notified of a few things we forgot to bring...which meant we were off to Target!
After picking up those last minute items, we were ready to get the booth all set. Tablecloths, check, sunflowers, check, two happy chicks eager to meet some papercrafting friends, double check!
Saturday, June 4th // Day #1
Our day started at 10 o'clock am with our iced coffees and donuts in tow. We hit another bump in the road with our credit card processor, but there was nothing that was going to stop us today!
It was a slow start once the doors opened, but it wasn't long before we had a flurry of crafters at our booth oohing and awing over all the product. Lucky for us, we were able to snag a few MISTI's to bring to the show with us and it definitely was one of our most popular items.
When planning for the show we knew we wanted to have some cute, branded items to put our customer's purchases in. We picked up some crisp white handle bags and some sunflower printed tissue paper to add a pop of color. In addition, I had some special business cards printed and a little write-up of our story so they could learn more about us.
Throughout the weekend I also had the opportunity to meet some of my email subscribers and followers from Instagram. It was such a pleasure to put names with faces. Special shout-out to Nancy, Beverly, and Libby!
Sunday, June 5th // Day #2
The last day was definitely a slower day. We were able to sell off the last of our MISTI's which was a blessing since they are quite heavy to lug back. I also got to meet a friend, Michelle, who gushed over my stamps and made me feel oh so special! It wasn't long before we had to pack up our remaining product and head back home.
It definitely was a crazy weekend for us and a learning experience at that. It's made us think about ways we can improve our booth and various systems we can put into place to make our show experience even more successful. We are hoping to attend a few more throughout the year so if you have any that you like to attend, please let me know in the comments!
