I Love Brew Cuppa Friendship Card // 2018 Fall & Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop
Hey, caffeine-loving friends!
I am super excited today because I’m participating in another Coffee Lovers Blog Hop hosted by Amy Tsuruta! This is one of my favorite events to take part in because coffee is my everything. In fact, I’m already thinking about tomorrow’s cup. I try to limit myself to one per day otherwise I get a little too jittery, LOL.
Let’s get started…
To start my card I stamped one of the girl images from Cuppa Friendship onto her coordinating die-cut in an alcohol marker-friendly ink. Then I started coloring her in! This is the most time-consuming part of this card, but is best enjoyed with some music playing and (you guessed it) a fresh brew sitting nearby.
After my coffee cutie was all colored I started assembling my focal panel. I cut a piece of A2 white cardstock with my Scallop Stitches Die Set. Along the bottom of the panel I spelled out the word “brew” with my Folk Alphabet Solid stamp set. I didn’t stamp them quite yet as I wanted to be sure I spaced them evenly. Once I had it just perfect, I stamped each letter using my Mini MISTI and a variety of ink colors that matched my girl.
After I stamped “brew” I also stamped the letter “I” above it, but off to the left. My thought was the phrase would read “I (love) brew”, but instead of putting “love” I would put the girl holding a mug! Pretty cute, huh?!
Once I was finished stamping the solid letters I moved on to the detail layers using Folk Alphabet Detail. I adhered this panel onto a kraft cardbase and popped the girl up using foam tape. Around her I popped up three hearts that are also included in the stamp set.
Watch me assemble this caffeine-tastic card in my process video below…it may even be set to coffeehouse-inspired music
