Festive Holiday Wreath Cards using the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder Templates
Ho, ho, hellooo there!
Who’s ready for the weekend?! Right now I’m heading down to see my sweet baby niece for her first photos with Santa! I hope you have some festive plans coming up or at least some holiday crafting. That leads me to today’s post…I’m sharing two cards using the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder Templates and Right at Home holiday stamps! I’ve been dying to use this stencil since I got it a few months ago and thought it might be fun to create some festive, holiday wreaths with it!
Let’s get started…
For my first card I pulled out the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set as it has several images that are perfect for this time of year. I started by placing the largest stencil into the top corner of my MISTI and popping in a piece of white cardstock cut to 4 in x 4 in into the open center. I aligned my stocking image towards the bottom and picked it up with the MISTI’s door.
I stamped it down, rotated my panel two notches and stamped again. Since the images I used were large I wanted to be sure there was enough space for the other elements. Instead of rotating the panel to the next notch, I decided to skip to the second notch instead. I continued adding images to my wreath and colored them in using alcohol markers. I popped the panel onto a 4 1/4 in x 4 1/4 in red cardbase and my first card was finished!
Oh! I also added some white pen detail on the stockings and a bit of shimmer to the stars using a clear Wink of Stella pen.
My next card makes my stamp-layering-loving-heart go pitter-patter! I used some the cozy images from Bits & Pieces: Winter to build wreath of some of my favorite things about the season. Beanies, mugs of warm brew, snowflakes…what’s not to love! I used the same process as before, but pulled out all my colored ink pads instead of my markers. In the center I stamped a greeting from Christmas Sentiments in a crisp, black ink.
