DIY Planner Tabs + Paperclips // Back to School with Right at Home
Hi everyone it’s Holly here today and this month we are celebrating Back to School with lots of fun school themed projects from the Design Team. I’m using the Back to School Planner set and the Back to School Die set for my projects today.
I created some fun paperlips that you can use in a notebook or on your planner pages. I created several different small paper clips using some washi tape and the elements in the Back to School Planner stamp set. I stamped the notebook paper image onto some white card stock using Mermaid ink from Lawn Fawn and then I trimmed off strips of it and stamped the sentiments with black ink. Then I adhered them around the paperclips and trimmed the ends into fish tails. I also used some fun school themed washi Tape I found and added elements from the set with some mini glue dots. You could use just washi tape and stamp the words onto the tape but I used card stock so they would be a little more durable.
I used the Back to School Die Set to create two different apple clips as well. I used a large paperclip for the one on the left and I added some Distress inks to all the pieces to create some extra depth to the pieces. Then I adhered some foam tape between the layers and and added the paper clip in-between with mini glue dots. For the clip on the right I used a large silver paperclip and secured the clip in the same way. I used some fun patterned paper for the leaves on the apple. I also stamped the notebook paper image from the Back to School Planner set and added a red line and die cut a banner shape from it and adhered it to the apple. This way you could personalize the clip.
These would be great packaged up as teacher gifts or planner accessories for anyone headed off to college. Thanks for stopping by today .. Be sure to check out the other projects posted this month from the team.
