Celebrate the Season Holiday Car Card Using Distress Oxide Inks by Holly
Happy Friday everyone! Holly here today with another fun card using the latest release from Right at Home. Have you picked out your favorite yet? I think mine is this adorable car from the Holidays are the Way Die Set.
I started out by created an A2 size kraft card base and then I die-cut a piece of Bristol Smooth paper with a large stitched rectangle die. I added some Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink to the background and splattered lots of water on it and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I wanted it to look like it was snowing in my scene. Then I die cut a second piece of Bristol using a hill die and the large rectangle again and added a little of the Salty Ocean ink along the edge. I adhered it to the front of main panel with some tape runner. I stamped the sentiment from the new Peace Love Joy stamp set with some VersaFine Black ink.
I added some Lucky Clover, Walnut Stain, Black Soot and Picked Raspberry ink to some Bristol Smooth scraps and then I die-cut the images from the pieces. I added some more water splatters to get the snowing effect. I adhered all those pieces together and added them to the main panel with foam and liquid adhesive. I wanted to add a little sparkle so I found some silver glimmer paper in my stash and I die cut the center of the wheels and the door handle and trim pieces. Then I paper-pieced them together. I used the same color of kraft card stock I used for the card base to die cut the twin around the tree.
This is a fun die set and you can create many scenes with it. You can find a layering guide in the store here.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great weekend!
