Be Thankful Seasonal Wreath Card by Holly
Happy Tuesday everyone…it’s Holly here today and WOW have you seen the new release yet?! It’s fabulous and a must have for the holidays. Today I’m using the new Seasonal Wreath Die Set and the Be Thankful stamp set. You can find the entire new release in the Right at Home Shop!
I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor paper that I stamped with the Grid Background Stamp using some Distress Oxide inks. Then I spritzed the image with water until the color started moving around. This created a bright watercolor background but still left the image of the of the grid. I heat set the panel and then I added some water droplets and removed the excess with a paper towel and set the panel aside to completely dry. Oxide inks are awesome to play with and I think they work best when you let them dry on their own. It really creates an entire different look then heat setting them.
I cut a few more pieces of watercolor paper and I added more Distress Oxides in several colors by smoothing the ink onto my craft mat, spritzing it with water and then dipping the card stock directly into the ink. You just keep adding ink until you get the look you want. Once the pieces were dry, I die cut all the images I was going to need from the wreath die. I adhered the card front panel to a brown A2 size cardbase and then I stamped the sentiment from the Be Thankful set in some brown ink. I adhered the wreath to the card front with a glue pen and then I started added all the die cuts with foam tape.
Once I had everything where I wanted it, I added some Mixed Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh with some Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive.
This is a fun die set to play with and there’s also another one in the release which includes a fun car. Head over to the RAH shop to grab your favorites from the release. Stay tuned to the blog all month long for more inspiration with these new products!
Thanks for stopping by!
