I'm so thrilled to be sharing a little Autumn card gift with you today! From the moment that I first saw the new Grateful Heart stamp set, I knew that I needed to make a little card gift set. The heartfelt sentiments in this set needed to be shared with a friend, they are just too lovely to keep to myself! :-) What makes this set perfect for creating mini (or full sized) card sets is that there are several to choose from.
First, I want to share the little gift bag that I created. It's the perfect size to tuck the mini cards and envelopes in. I started by embossing the sweet pumpkin (also from the Grateful Heart stamp set) in gold and then adding some watercolor. I then decorated the bag using strips of scrap papers, a canvas tag, a clothes pin, and the cutest little wooden button. For the finishing touch, I added a strip of dark brown cardstock with one of the Grateful Heart sentiments embossed in gold.
The first little card I created features my favorite sentiment from the set. I embossed it using black detail embossing powder on a simple watercolor wash background. The only sentiment that I added was the sweet and tiny heart.
The next card features the gorgeous leaves included in the set. I embossed them in gold, encircling the sentiment. I added some color using my watercolors.
I don't' like to play favorites, but this card is probably it. That mushroom and the wood slice image are just the cutest things ever!
