Right at Home Stamps Mix & Match Week // Day #2 with Holly
Hi everyone.. It’s Holly here today and I’ve got a fun Mix & Match card for you. All month long we are mixing up an April Right at Home Release set with a set from a previous release. I’m using three sets today… From the April Release I’m using the Birdhouse & the Tiny Sentiments sets and from the March release I’m using the Grid Background Stamp.
I really love the Birdhouse set from the April Release… I’m always looking for whimsical sets that you can tell were hand drawn. I started with stamping the background stamp onto a piece of watercolor paper from Tim Holtz and then I heat embossed it in White. I added some Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean coming in from the right side edge and fading into the left. I added a few drops of water and blotted with a paper towel. I set the piece aside to dry and stamped the images onto a piece of Copic friendly card stock and colored them in with Copics. I cut each images out and added a black edge using a Memento Tuxedo Black marker.
I ran the watercolor panel through my Big Shot using a Large Stitched Square Die. Then I added the panel to a Sand colored top folding card base with some foam tape I added all of my images with Foam tape and tomb Mono Multi liquid glue. Once I had all the images placed where I wanted them I added a few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I used a sentiment from the Tiny Sentients set and stamped it on a tiny speech bubble I die cut from a scrap of White card stock and adhered it over the birdhouse.
