Deerest Friends Perfect Tears Card by Kari // Right at Home and Perfect Paper Crafting Collaboration

Hello there crafty friends!  Kari here today to showcase the Perfect Tears Tools. Throughout the next week or so the Right at Home Design Team will be sharing special posts in collaboration with Perfect Paper Crafting.

The set I'll be showcasing is the Perfect Tearing Rulers. It's a set of three rulers with a different tearing style on each edge. The set includes a little water marker that helps with moistening your paper to make tearing easier.

For my card, I used the adorable stamp set Deerest Friends, and created a focal point by die cutting a label from kraft card stock, and then stamping the cute owl and the sentiment "Friends Till The End" in VersaMark ink, and then covering that with my gold embossing powder, and using my heat tool to set.  I love the gold embossed look on kraft - almost a tone on tone look, but with flare ;)

To create my background, I used a piece of watercolor card stock, and created an ink blended look using my Distress Inks, and then sprayed some water to take advantage of those wonderful properties of this fun ink, and allowed it to wick away some of that color, and I used a paper towel to soak up the water.  It leaves behind a fun distressed and bleached look!

To add another fun element, I used the Perfect Tears tools, and chose two of the tear designs, and took some of my favorite fall patterned papers, and created a fun distressed edge!  These tools come with a refillable water pen to make the process so easy!!  I adhered my two edged papers onto my water color panel, and then used the largest Right At Home Stamps frame die that is included in the Find the Beauty coordinating die set, and created that lovely stitched edge all around my panel.

I added some foam tape to my label to pop it up off of my main panel, and added some twine, and then adhered my panel to a 4.25 x 5.5 wood grain card base. It was a lot of fun using these fun tools, and creating a different element to add to my card design!!

Have a wonderful crafty day!
